We’ve collated the top trends from the Spring ready-to-wear collections from the biggest names in fashion. Our top three trends are ready to be integrated into the stylish and unique wardrobe of today’s woman.
1. Whimsy in White or Edgy Monochrome
There is not a colour as pure and ethereal as the classic white, seen in throughout the Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 Ready-To-Wear collection. Match whimsical white pieces with edgier pieces, like Louis Vuitton’s gorgeous embroidered leather jacket (pictured above) or by pairing with our Bianco Hitop Sneakers. Currently on sale in limited sizes.
2.Frills & pleats
From Left Valentino, Valentino and Balmain
This trend is úber feminine. Frills and pleats could be seen dotted within nearly every collection on the runway this spring. This one is perfect to break out during this racing season but can also be used for the everyday. Just add a denim or leather jacket to tone down the look.
At Ballettonet, we love the drama and movement of this trend, but it can easily be overdone. We recommend choosing one statement piece and paring it with neutral, tailored pieces for day wear. See style icon Olivia Palermo for a unique take on the trend.
To complete this feminine look, you can’t go wrong with an elegant pair of heels. Take pleats from runway to real life with a pair of the Sofia stiletto pump in beige. We love them for their ability to go with just about everything. Plus, the authentic Italian craftsmanship ensures a luxe finish to your look, and comfort for your feet!
- 3.Romantic pinks and Bold reds
From Left, Hermes, Valentino and Akris.
For when you are feeling confident, a bold red is eye-catching and flattering. For days you just want to feel pretty, you can’t go wrong in softer shades of pink.
Choose a red that suits your skin tone. For cool toned ladies choose blue based reds such as Berry red, burgundy, crimson, cherry and brick.
warm skin, choose orange tinted reds like cinnamon, copper, ruby, rust and
scarlet. One method to determine if you are warm or cool is by looking at the
colour of the veins in your wrist, if they appear blue, then you are cool, if
green, then you likely have a warm skin tone.
Of course, if you're more of a neutrals kinda gal, then a good way to brighten up an outfit is to add a quick pop of colour. We recommend the Kerrie Hess Framboise Flats for a beautiful deep pink (pictured below). Team these classic ballet flats with skinny jeans or leggings and a striped top. Or pair them with your favourite dress or off-duty denim. Handcrafted in Italy by La Baccarina, you can feel like a star as these shoes are limited edition (1 of 50 worldwide).
If you are after a softer pallet, look no further than the Friend in Fashion Positano - Rosé. The Positano slides are for those who live for Summer. Pair these blush pink suede sandals with your favourite dress or be bold and wear an all white/neutral outfit. The essential shoe this season that will keep your feet happy and stylish from day to night.
